So I have kind of a problem. Well, maybe not a big problem...worse things have happened.

[His voice sounds louder and then quieter as he speaks, the result of pacing across the room as his communicator sits on the desk.]

Something happened to me and it changed a few things about me. And now I'm not sure what to do.

[The audio feed abruptly switches to video, but a shadow obscures the camera for a moment until the cat's paw (for that is what the shadow is) pulls away to reveal a little gray kitten, looking intently into the camera.

It seems that Roxas has been turned into a cat! Could some foul magic have done this? Another curse?]

Riku! Get off of that!

[...or not. He sweeps the kitten away and picks up the communicator, looking exasperated.]

I told you, buttons aren't toys...uh, anyway. My problem is I don't know much about Christmas. This thing that happened made me think I'd celebrated it before, but I haven't. I know everyone here is from a lot of different places, and it's not a big deal to all of you, but I want to get it right.

What are the most important parts of it? [He's going to take notes.]

I've actually heard of some places that...don't have Christmas at all, and then there's places that didn't used to but they do now. From what I've seen there's always gift-giving and good food...oh and there's the tree!

Yeah, you always see the trees. They had a bunch for sale in some lot earlier, too.

[ Sora wasn't sure what to get Roxas but he hopes he'll like it - nothing extraordinary but, he hopes he got it right as far as guessing if Roxas would find the things useful or fun or both. ]

[ There's a slight grunt and a pause as he lets his hand busy holding onto the makeshift tie uncurl, which means it's easier to hold onto the device and just talk, back to being sheepish but there's a cheerfulness to it as well, a brightness. ]

Not far just I mean...if you come outside the building you'll be able to see me.

Wh- [ He honestly can't help it; Sora leaps a fair couple of feet or more into the air (accounting for the bend of his knees) and sort of flails, turning to eye Roxas equal parts pleased to see him and surprised at the abruptness. It's not the means of travel, just that he didn't expect his other to show up, you know, behind him. Gosh.

Grabbing the makeshift sort of harness/binding that the crossed rope makes and knots at the foot of the tree, Sora grins. ]

Glad you think so. Um...I guess we can both lift it, but the top is kinda prickly.

The most important parts of Christmas...?

[She pauses to think about this, before finally smiling warmly at the screen.]

Well, in my world, we celebrate it because it's the birth of Kami-sama! [Did she get that right? Oh, if only Yuki-chan or her mother was here to help her explain the religious part of it!] But it's also about celebrating love, friendship, and family, and giving gifts and being thankful for the people in your life! Oh, and the food and decorations help too!
