[It's Roxas' voice saying the words, but at this moment, he sounds very much like Sora.]

Well, that's what happens when you put your whole being into an attack. You know what I mean? Not that Nobodies actually HAVE beings...right? Anyway, I digress. Go, find Kairi. Oh, almost forgot... Sorry for what I did to her.

[And this is Sora, a mix of self-deprecating humor and regret evident in his tone.]

When we find her, you can tell her that yourself.

[Stubborn and certain.]

Think I'll pass. My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one.

Axel, what were you trying to do?

[There's sadness on both ends now, but a mutual acceptance as well. The end is near, but not without purpose.]

I wanted to see Roxas. He was the only one I liked. He made me feel...like I had a heart. It's kind of funny... You make me feel the same.

[And then there's only silence. Neither boy moves.]

[There's a rustling sound before anyone speaks, as if they're fidgeting and not sure they have to do this.]

[It sounds like Sora. If he turns on the video, it'll look like Sora.

I really hate when the City gets all crowded like this.

There are so many people in the City today that the ice cream shop had a line way down the block even though it's not even warm out—

Where are they all going to stay?!

[The video feed clicks on to reveal some odd angles and fumbling noises, eventually revealing the face of Roxas as he figures out how to hold this thing.

Time stretches out into what would be an uncomfortably long pause in any conversation, but he doesn't say anything, just looks at the camera, a vague curiosity mixed with general blankness. There's no sign of recognition on his face.]

[ooc note: Roxas has been hit with Feels Like the First Time and believes this is his first arrival in the City—but he's got a different canon point, roundabouts day 7 of his life. Sora will be coming to claim the little zombie but otherwise he's open.]

[The video cuts in abruptly, revealing the ground and wall of a back area of Ohtori, along with a pair of feet. It's as if the communicator was dropped out of someone's pocket and landed just wrongly enough to hit the wrong button, because that's precisely what happened. There is the sound of coughing.]

Ugh—this stuff's gross. How can those guys stand it?

[There's some more grumbling and the puffing sound of a very inexperienced teenager attempting to smoke a cigarette. After a minute, Roxas plops to the ground, coming into view of the camera. He fumbles at his pocket with his free hand and finally notices the device.]

Oh, great. Now I'm definitely going to get detention.


[ooc: schoolboy!Roxas is struggling with the somewhat recent news that he has a long-lost half-brother, and he's dealing by trying to be a bad boy. He is bad...at it.]
