[It's Roxas' voice saying the words, but at this moment, he sounds very much like Sora.]

Well, that's what happens when you put your whole being into an attack. You know what I mean? Not that Nobodies actually HAVE beings...right? Anyway, I digress. Go, find Kairi. Oh, almost forgot... Sorry for what I did to her.

[And this is Sora, a mix of self-deprecating humor and regret evident in his tone.]

When we find her, you can tell her that yourself.

[Stubborn and certain.]

Think I'll pass. My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one.

Axel, what were you trying to do?

[There's sadness on both ends now, but a mutual acceptance as well. The end is near, but not without purpose.]

I wanted to see Roxas. He was the only one I liked. He made me feel...like I had a heart. It's kind of funny... You make me feel the same.

[And then there's only silence. Neither boy moves.]

[sigh]

I really hate when the City gets all crowded like this.

[The video feed clicks on to reveal some odd angles and fumbling noises, eventually revealing the face of Roxas as he figures out how to hold this thing.

Time stretches out into what would be an uncomfortably long pause in any conversation, but he doesn't say anything, just looks at the camera, a vague curiosity mixed with general blankness. There's no sign of recognition on his face.]

[ooc note: Roxas has been hit with Feels Like the First Time and believes this is his first arrival in the City—but he's got a different canon point, roundabouts day 7 of his life. Sora will be coming to claim the little zombie but otherwise he's open.]

That curse the other day, with people's heads getting cut off and then just walking around like nothing happened—is that what happens here when people are destroyed? I didn't think anything was supposed to be left behind, but everything was left behind.

I don't think it's bad, but it's strange...I don't know.

[sigh]

Hey, Hanna, I found a store with a lot of ice cream flavors. I bet there's one you haven't had yet.

[There’s a long pause and some hesitant breathing before a teenage boy speaks. Maybe he’s too confused to speak at first. Maybe he knows he’s not supposed to interact with people in other worlds. Maybe he’s just really shy.]

I’m not supposed to be here. I have to get back or I’m going to be in trouble. I’m probably going to be in trouble anyway.
